  13. A 3D moose students can take apart, in a Nation’s own words

    The need
    A hands-on way for students to learn each part of an animal and its uses, with a Nation’s own words and teachings.
    The work
    An interactive 3D model that comes apart layer by layer, with lessons, a guided tour, a poster and word cards. Each Nation decides what its edition contains and keeps its own copy. Demonstrations on request.

How the work is done

    The work is led by a certified teacher with K-12 school administration experience, so recommendations fit how schools actually run.

  2. Nation-specific.

    Work with a First Nation starts from that Nation’s own governance, language and protocols, not a template.

  3. Built for small systems.

    Plain language, clear priorities and next steps a small team can carry out without extra staff.

  4. Data sovereignty respected.

    Community information is handled under OCAP® and CARE principles. Communities decide how it is collected, used and shared.

BEC is led by an educator whose experience includes K-12 school administration in Whitehorse, classroom teaching in British Columbia and First Nations education implementation advising.
